I've got a few at work if anyone wants them (FoC)

taken them off of old fruit machines we've scrapped (they use them for the top doors).

I had the dimensions somewhere, i've got about 4 or 6 i think in the workshop.

PM me if anyone wants them. they're in Swindon.

Cheapest and possibly the easiest thing would be to wander down to a local scrappy and have a look at different cars, then see how these struts are fitted, you might even get better or more suitable ones for whatever you plan to do.

I was surprised when i went down a couple of weeks ago looking for a boot catch plate what cars have, especially teh number of cars with gas bonnet struts. Vauxhall vectra's have a neat strut on the bonnet.

Just a thought.

I fitted one from a rangy tailgate to the back door of my defender last week. Makes a big difference

That's the sort of thing I want to do, I haven't got a latch anymore, just a bit of seat belt webbing pop riveted in by the PO, stops it swinging 180 in the wind and smashing against the back. Trouble is it don't hold it open.

I'm not too familiar with the RR tailgate, does it include the brackets or did you fab them.

Cheers Aaron
