90 Mellis
Planning my lastest project (200tdi 90), Interested to know what body parts are interchangable between a 90/Series?! Will a Series Truck Cab or Hard top fit?? And also the two piece Front doors??
western
Doors will but use the 90 hinges & Series latch striker on the pillar, truck cab roof & back panel should be OK, hardtop not as 90 has a longer body/wheelbase.
FridgeFreezer
Doors will but use the 90 hinges & Sreies latch striker on the pillar, truck cab roof & back panel should be OK, hardtop not as 90 has a longer body/wheelbase. Are you sure about roofs Ralph? I thought the defender had a taller screen and so you would have to change roof & screen to be both series or both defender. Also, although the 90/110 is longer wheelbase I believe all the bodywork is the same length overall as 109 CSW sides (sill,B&C pillar) are superseded to the 110 CSW part number and all the doors swap over. muddy
I thought the series truck cab roof was shallower and the winscreen is lower and the corners are square not curved as a 90/110 one is so any series roof panel will not fit a 90or 110? back panel off a truck cab should fit tho. 101sean
Fridgefreezer is right, no series roofs will fit a 90/110 as the screens are completely different. Truck cab back panels are the same. Doors are all interchangeable but strikers and latches will differ.
steve b
......the hard tops from series will fit if you change the windscreen to S11/S111 as well. Most def. panelwork has series roots , lower tooling costs etc Cheers Steveb
