dsp diaphragm , which way round does it go?

does the little pin on the diaphragm go towords the pump or towords the engine block?

towards the block i think, then you turn it clockwise to increase the on boost fuelling.

way over my head jim , i just made it the same size as the pin on the old one.

would this make it go faster then?

I think we might need a clearer picture of what you are talking about.

Jim is referring to the shaft attached to the diaphragm on a Bosch VE pump. It has an eccentric cone on the end that control the fueling rate as boost increases. Depending on which angle this is set at, the fueling rate varies.

you can see that "normally" the dot is at the top, closest to the engine block.

it's turned around to between 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock for extra oomph.
