Drive belt reconfiguration

So with the goal of onboard air, I have been trying to rearrange the front end of my V8.

I have a V8 3.5 110 without aircon.

The idea was to move the alternator from right to left (like aircon defenders) and fit the compressor on the right in its normal place.

I have sourced the following bits from a few places:

- double V water pump pulley (ERC6540)

- double V PAS pulley

- RRC compressor mount & tensioner

- RRC fan belt tensioner & bracket (ETC6148)

So, in theory ending up with a belt arrangement like this: (taken from RRC service manual)

BUT...

upon trying to fit this arrangement, it doesnt line up.

The PAS belt remians on the rear groove of the crank pulley - ok.

The compressor belt looks like is should go onto the rear groove of the water pump pulley.

If i seat the WP pulley fully back, then the tensioner is way to far forward (with no way to move it further back)

If i pull the WP pulley forward & line it up (could make a spacer), then the crank pulley is too far back...

Looking at EPC it doesnt seem that there is a differnent offset crank pulley for RRC & 110...

So, i'm a bit stumped. Anyone got any ideas? know if there are differnet offset pulleys?

help....

I guess i should rephrase my question -

It's perhaps the Defender compressor bracket that has a differnent offset to the RRC one.

Could somebody with a. an RRC with aircon (non serp) and b. a Defender with Aircon, take a couple of photo's and if possible measure the offsets of the pulleys fir me?

Ok, i'll answer my own questions then....

I think i have the wrong tensioner braket & compresor mount. It seems the RRC setup is not the same as 110. I guess the water pump nose is a differnet length.

So i need the Defender aircon pump mount. anyone have one? (ERC7494+ERC6545)
