O/T.... Rover TD problem

just a phone call from a M8 whose Rover 400 TD has been standing for just over 1 month......... he says it starts ok, and revs ok until he goes to pull off, then it dies and wont accelerate.

ive said to change the fuel filter.... but hes going on about could it be a crank sensor???? anyone have any ideas?

That's exactly what my TD OneTen was doing when it had blown an injector pipe. RAC Man said something about Rotary Injection and that if one looses pressure they all do.

Blockage somewere in the fuel system or maybe an airleak so under load the engine can't pull through the needed fuel. Change filter and re-prime system
