bill van snorkle Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 A couple of hours ago I had just got home from work when the rubber chain damper on my engine fell off and got chewed up by the crankshaft sprocket and chain, causing the hydraulic tensioner to explode. I have the necessary replacement bits in the shed but can't for the life of me recall how to align the cam timing marks. It could have happened anywhere in peak hour traffic, which would have been a complete PITA ,but fortunately it chose my driveway to break down. Bill.
