FridgeFreezer
Just fitted some police spec springs to dad's RR as it was looking a bit saggy when doing so I noticed that the springs will let it droop considerably further than the shocks will allow - to get the fully extended shocks on I had to jack up the axle by a good 1-2" with the spring fitted on each corner. Will they settle down and be fine, or is it likely to damage something? A limit strap would seem to easiest solution, since dad's unlikely to spend out on longer shocks (and brake lines) anytime soon. Or are shocks happy acting as the limiting factor? Dad isn't an extreme off-roader so they're not going to be abused / rallied about the place.
q-rover
I think shocks don't mind acting as a limiter. They do mind acting as a bumpstop though.
