trickymicky
Just aquired a 93 200 tdi after owning a 94 N/A. What a difference ! It has the alloy wheels you see on nearly every discovery. I dont know what thay are called. I do know i dont like them. Thay come with 235 tyres. Thay dont fill out the arches enough. I was thinking of fitting 265/75R16's on modular wheels. This is where i need some advice. Is the offset different ie will it feel more stable on cornering? Is this the best size to go for? Are AT remolds worth having and if so witch ones ? And the same for new. Alot of questions i know but this is the place to ask.
LR90
265/75 on modulars would fit nice and yes the modulars have a greater backspacing than the disco alloys which will also help the look/stability. As to AT remoulds I don't have any experience to comment but I'm sure if budget is tight (you're running a LR so it must be ) then I'm sure there are some good options. Oh, and welcome to LR4x4
GBMUD
Hi Tricky. Are they 235/85 or 235/65 or 75? The former are the same diameter as the 265/75 but without the width. The latter two are the same (similar) diameter as 205s. Chris

Oh, and welcome to LR4x4 My old 90 had old AT Pirelli scorpions 15". no idea what size coz it had all worn off. Thay looked great. The tread patern came out in line with the edge of the arches. It would be nice to see that again but with 16". Unfortunatly, i have nothing to compare with. Defenders are few and far between around here, and i'm not in any club yet. It's ok looking at photo's but thay don't give sizes. Thanks for responding.

I have Colway ATs 275/65 R16s on my Td5, got them with alloys from http://www.tyresdirectuk.co.uk/xcart/custo...at=9&page=4 good price, arrived at my door balanced and ready to fit ! Not had any probs with the quality of the rubber, done about 10k miles since I had the car and they still look like new !

That's a 110 fitted with 235/85x16 Pirelli Scorpion AT's, if that helps! Fills the wheelarches nicely.

That looks good - do you have a lift on the CSW? I have fitted HD suspension and a bit of a lift to mine and I'm now looking for a wheel & tyre setup that will 'fill the void'. I dont want alloys so I'm looking at Modular or Wolf rims? Does 265/75/16 AT sound about right for a 2" lift setup?

q-rover
235.85x16 and 265.75x16 are the same diameter to within a few mm. The difference is that 265 is 30mm wider. So a 265.75x16 will no more fill the arches of a lifted vehicle than 235.85x16's will. What you need to look at are 255.85x16 or 285.75x16 again very similar diameter but one is wider than the other, guess which...
Dunc
Does 265/75/16 AT sound about right for a 2" lift setup? I had 265/75 C-Trax A/T's on 16" Boost Alloys on my 110 and that was with standard suspension. Rode beautifully.
