Wheel wobble at 45mph

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I have recently been experiencing steering wheel wobble at speeds between 40 and 50, checked tyre pressure, balance weights and no lumps of crud stuck to rims

It doesnt always happen which is puzzling and not at any other speeds either

Any thoughts ?

Yours, shook to bits...

Panhard rod bushings and swivel pin preload are the first places to look.

Have a friend move the wheel left to right with some force while standing still and observe Panhard and other rods, chances are you'll see unusual play at one of the bushes. With mine it was the top Panhard rod bush, don't mess around with polybush etc, OEM does the best job. ;)
