neil00001
Hi All, While investigating a rumble coming from the front, ie repack wheel bearings, remove front prop shaft, I have discovered the rumble, I think....... With the front prop removed i have no drive, only by putting dif lock on do I have drive to the rear wheels. and it sounds very clunky when I initially pull away.... HELP please someone......... It seems I have been driving for the last 3000 miles in front wheel drive. How can this be????? Thanks Neil
BogMonster
If you have the vehicle out of diff lock, that is quite normal! The centre diff allows all drive to follow the path of least resistance i.e. out through the front flange. The same will happen if you put the front prop on and take the rear one off - the rear one will spin.
