derodster
Gm All, My indicator cancel thingy seems to be 90 degrees out ie if I turn the wheel to the 3 o'clock position that seems to be where the center is but then of course the front wheels are turned to the right. Is there something on the steering column i can adjust to re center it. I should say this comes after a "mechanic" took the wheel off in an effort to adjust the tracking !!!!! and no I wont be using him again...... any help appreciated ta deRod
Ex Member
Steering wheel is probably mounted incorrectly. Steering wheel position is adjusted through the drag link.
yellow
The cancelling tab is located under the steering wheel and the cowel. put the wheels in a straight position, take the steering wheel off, and the cowel, and reset the little tab. It is that easy... (...after you have expressed yourself in perfectly politically uncorrect anglo-saxon to get the steering wheel off)
Happyoldgit
When removing the steering wheel if you value your nose don't forget to loosen but not remove the wheel securing nut
Mo Murphy
The rotating collar that the steering wheel tabs fit into has an arrow or mark on one side of it, ensure this goes to the left so that you get proper cancelling in both directions.
