tuko
I know I've read it somewhere's but can't remember where it was. Apparently you can swap over the Defender hand brake assembly to a series Land Rover. Not knowing how to do this, is it hard to do? I will be picking up this stuff next week, so just wanting to confirm that I'm not loosing my mind and it can be done or has been done. Todd. Tonk
Todd, you saying you want to fit the drum assy or the h/brake lever assy? or the whole lot? if i was going to that much trouble i'd fit a disc instead.
tiagoc
if i was going to that much trouble i'd fit a disc instead. x-brake for series would be the answer
Tonk
i've made my own for both series and defender t/boxes, but i agree a disc is the answer

Tonk
if its just the lever then its a case of bolting the defender lever on the front of the seatbox then connecting up the cable to your existing drum assy, i have never done this but its not rocket science, another lever to use is a rangie item and mount it ontop of the seatbox next to the drivers seat, this is wot i have done so no reaching for the hand brake anymore, mine connects up to a disc assy i made on a lt230 (defender t/box)
