BigSi110
Just checking gearbox levels as well today. I've managed to get ATF all down my arm after loosening the main gearbox filler plug. That's got to be OK then. The transfer box plug just won't shift. It's currently sitting with WD40 sprayed all over it. Standard ratchet handle; lots of effort; nil movement. I don't have a breaker bar - can't think that'll do the 'box any good. Levels were supposedly checked and topped-up a few months ago. PLEASE, any suggestions? Guest otchie1
3in1 penetrating oil on the threads for about an hour and then the usual forwards/backwards routine. I think I used a breaker bar on mine..it wasn't gorilla tight but it need more than I wanted to put through a standard ratchet.

The hole in the casing is a taper thread, don't over tighten just "nip" it up.
