I used to have a TVR and new cats were about £600! My local specialist had a bloke who made up a couple of replacement sections for £50. Don't think the MOT is bothered by them missing either. They're not bothered that they won't be there, but they will be bothered if your car can't pass a cat emmisions test. pugwash Posted September 18, 2007 Share Posted September 18, 2007 might be worth contacting Paul Challis (V8Camel) who has a highly tuned RV8 4.6 that in a 110 that he passes every year on LPG . If the testing station refuse to test it on LPG or insist on switching it to petrol and it fails you should complain to VoSA. TEMPL4R Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 We have no reason not to test on LPG, we just move the cursor on the Analyser to LPG. If it passes or fails, it still costs the MOT fee, so it's no matter to me, I just test as presented. Cats are not a requiremnet for MOT, we just do emmissions, they could be a requirement for C and U though, but as we are not concerned with those regs, I don't know.
