I own a 95 300 tdi and have already replaced the cat pipe with a non cat pipe for a Defender,I was just wondering if it is possible to remove the front silencer and fit a straight through pipe in its place instead as people do on the Defender ?

Still unable to find a shop that sells a straight through pipe for a 95 Discovery (few places I rang said you cant put a straight through pipe on a Discovery). If anybody knows who does sell a silencer replacement pipe It would be appreciated if you could let me know. Thanks again.

Martin motors do them for £54.

As above, but I think bobtail may mean MM 4x4 - I don't think they've been Martin Motors for a long time. They're at Martin Hussingtree near Droitwich, though I can't see what you're after on their website - may be worth a call.

Thanks DiscoRyan but thats who I tried and they dont do the part. They do however do a complete straight through system for the Discovery. It costs 184 pounds though (iirc),looks like I will have to have a go at making it myself.Thanks.

If you have a copy or can get one, apparently LRO did an article about fitting one to their project Discovery in July 2006. Alternatively, have a look at Mark's Discovery Mods thread, I believe he has something about fitting one to his.
