Range Rover/Defender axle

will a 89 RR back alxe fit straight on to a 91 200tdi 90 without any mod's

and any issues if the axle's been left standing outside for a year

Should do providing the dampers mount pointing the same way (i.e. on some Rangies they had one pointing forward and one pointing backward). If it's been left standing I would definitely strip and repair/replace the calipers etc. The internals should be ok providing it's had oil in the axle. Also check the wheel bearings.
