Hi,

I have a couple of small questions that if you know the answers I'd be grateful.

1 - My front windscreen wiper doesn't return back to the bottom of the screen when they get turned off. Is this normal or am I missing something?

2 - I have a rear heated screen and when I turned it on the other day it didn't seem to do anything. The lights come on ont he dash to say it's active but no clearing.

Does anyone have any idea where I should start looking to check for problems?

Thanks for any help on these.

Steve

1. Relocate the offending arm on the spindle so that it stops in the right place. Test with a wet windscreen.

2. My first port of call would be to check for power and cleanliness at the rear screen connections then go from there.

Thanks Steve.

I'll check it out later on.

I should have made the first question a bit clearer.

The wipers just stop when I turn them off. Any other car I've had return to the bottom to finish off the movement but mine just stop wherever they may be on the screen. It's not that they are not in the same position.

Thanks

The park switch is probably broken.

It's a common fault, about a fiver for a new one, its mounted on the motor itself, under the LHS of the dash.

Check for continuity across the heating element with a multimeter.
