The interior of a Série 1 of 53 should like?

A friend showed me some photos of is future classic. One fantastic S1 of 53, but I found 3 knob in the interior similar to a S2 or S3. The black, the yellow and the red knob. This is original?

Sounds about right for a 53. Not really certain but I think the loo chain for locking the freewheel unit was dropped in 1950, and the freewheel unit itself replaced by the selective 4wd transfercase in 1951 or 2.

Bill.

Yep as said above yellow/red/black the freewheel t/box stopped in 1950 when the yellow knob 2wd/4wd t/box started. It should also have a very cute small oval dash with speedo, fuel, amp meter and ignition/headlight switch. Engine should be the 2 litre F head . The seat cushions locate in the seat box with 2 rubber bungs  Land Rovers were nice and basic back then.

The spare wheel was a optional extra back then too :P

Lovely vehicle for there time tho and iconic now

Cheers
