Got round to starting work on the 300TDi engine I got for £50 tonight. Grubby thing innit! :)

Anyway - it has a throttle sensor fitted - which I won't be using. Can I remove it and still use the cable mechanism and will it's removal/non use affect the pump in any way?

Thanks.

Yep you can remove the sensor (for the EGR originally) and still use the throttle linkage. IIRC just undo the three bolts holding it on and it will lift off.
