ltwt1981 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Have got my 8274 working in and out with an Allbright solenoid pack. Now thinking of isolation and safety features. Can I use one of the Warn solenoids on the main battery feed as an isolator from the cab and or the front of the vehicle. Will the solenoid take the load, I assume it will as that is what it does on the winch. I can also wire in low draw protection on the same switch if I use a DPDT switch, any thoughts on a waterproof switch for the front. Quote
MogLite Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 That the setup I use. Warn supply it on their CE spec winches I believe Its really nice to be enable/disable the winch with a toggle switch, and have an "armed" warning light on it Andy Quote

I doubt if the Warn solenoids are continuously rated so you will need to ‘turn the winch off’ when not in use. Best bet would be an isolator switch, you can still have an ”armed” light if you want one. (Note to Chris: second sensible post this month!) Quote
