zulublue Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 The ride in my Truck cab is to say the least firm, speed humps are like launch pads, I have OME Nitro shocks all round and OME 763 springs, (well on the back) these were fitted before I purchased the 90, which was supposed to be a +3" lift. I thought it was too hard and I would not get much articulation, so I called Devon 4x4 today and spoke to Liz, she said that OME don't do a +3" lift so she thought they were +2" but heavy duty, after a look through her book she said that the springs were 140lb over rated for my 90, that would explain the hardness of the ride. So i have ordered 4 nice new OME +2" springs off Devon at £58 + vat a corner I hope they are worth it. 2 of the 763's will be up for sale soon as the rear ones look fairly new, I will have a look at the fronts when they come off. so I need to find out what the OME 763 spring is supposed to be on, I suspect a 110 or 130 can anyone inform me please. Must admit it was like a Ferrari around the corners Quote
Guest diesel_jim Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I've got 763's on the front of my 90 they were just right (with 762's on the back), but mine is a full hard top, external cage, 8274 and BRB nudge bar, so weighed as much as a small village. Quote
zulublue Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 This should be interesting then, I have an 8274 with extended barrel on the front and a heavy winch bumper to suit. god knows what springs are on the front. Quote
Orgasmic Farmer Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 110 & 130 rear springs are a larger diameter than 90s, discos and RRCs A disco uses heavier duty springs on the rear than either a RRC or a 90 so that might be what they were for (or else some expedition loaded 90!) Quote
zulublue Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 I have now fitted my D44 OME springs from Devon 4x4, they feel alot better on the road, I have not used them on the twisty stuff yet, does anyone else run these springs and what are they like for articulation? £289 I hope there good Quote
