Freelander Down Hill Decent light

Hi, The Down Hill Decent switch has not worked since I got the car. Wires not connected!!!!!!!!!! Recently the warning light has come on??? The Haynes mauual says there's a relay for the DHD but I can't find it. Thought of removing to see if that cured the problem. Any one got a better idea? or indeed, where's the relay????????? :

If the light is on its normally due to a ABS sensor

There should be no reason for it to be disconnected

Could the wires have become detached under the gearstick gaitor?
