Discovan300tdi
Firstly hello to you all ,forgot to say hello yesterday My names Andy live in the wilds of shropshire and drive a wheeled loader in a quarry I own 2 1994 300tdi Discoverys ones a van which I recently brought off my employers, and the other is a 3 door that I brought on saturday to break but was in too good a condition so will be become my off road toy, and a 1975 series 3 swb truck cab which belongs to the wife. anyway after getting aphone call from one of my mates from work earlier asking me if I wanted a spare landrover engine as his brother is emigrating and is clearing his garage I now have a seized 200tdi it seems that it overheated and then seized up,is it worth stripping down and rebuilding but without the turbo and using it in the wifes series 3 as being petrol and her daily driver its getting abit expensive to run Cheers Andy
GBMUD
Why without the turbo? You will find it disappointing without the turbo, and more economical with it. Chris
tacr2man
By the time you rebuild the 200tdi, and get the rest of the bits you will need to fit in a series you can buy a heck of a lot of petrol for the difference, or even find a cheap disco JMHO
