MarkieB
"storm warrior" although as my hybrid hasn't got the Rangie floorpan, it's not for me for now; he says he's thinking of making a long wheelbase version though, maybe one day for the 110 once it's got the V8 in it.. nice dreams :D
LR90
Each to their own I guess but it's not for me. Personally I prefer the buggy, tubed or Dakar type of thing.
DEANO3528
Why would someone want to make a unique and beautiful looking Range Rover into one of those things? I like the Dakar, and the new Landranger kit because they aren't trying to be something they are not.
MarkieB
I think it's more a case of getting a very serious road presence for loads less than it would really cost? Still, I respect your opinions, I may be a bit easily dazzled by American[-style] razzamatazz :D
DEANO3528
Don't get me wrong, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you think it's the mutts undercarriage then that's all that counts.
bishbosh
Yeah, fair play for voicing your opinion! Personally I think its foul!!! Coat on, running for the door.....
cols110
I quite like Hummers, but to me that looks like sh1te.
Dunc
I quite like Hummers, but to me that looks like sh1te. I'm mixed opinion about HumVees. There's not doubting the ability of the tool and they definately have 'presence'! Just not my bag i suppose. A 2-door pickup humvee kit car based on a Landy, does seem a little pointless to me. But like the man said, if it floats your boat then go for it. Doesn't it look like a 110 Hi-Cap with a funny front end though?
MarkieB
I think he makes / is making a 4-door version, from what I understood. The 2-door doesn't do much for me either, nor do his claims as to the solidity of ½" fibreglass. The added frame sounds right though. To me the look is 90% of what makes a HumVee, although maybe I'm overlaying my recollection of a HumVee onto a replica that isn't quite as accurate as it looks from the photos? FridgeFreezer
Sorry, don't like that at all. In fact I don't like most kit cars that try to be something they're not, like the Ferrari replicas based on Toyota MR2's and the Audi TT replicas (why would you bother?). The owner in the first pic makes me laugh
v8bertha
The owner in the first pic makes me laugh Kinda reminds me of you fridge!! 'cept your "kit-car" will be a lot cooler!
DEANO3528
Bloody hell FF, I saw that pic and could've sworn that was one of our club members. Spitting image!
FridgeFreezer
Watch it Dan, I know where you live! I've also got plenty of incriminating photos of you! Kit cars are for girls, you want to try building something with no plans or instructions
