Roverdrive
Spread the chassis rails slightly with a high lift, or screw jack, protecting the rails with wood packing. If you don't have any of these try a piece of 4x2 cut slightly shorter than the distance between the rails, and two wedges.
teslo
and when you are going to mount it back. put there some grease. it will be little easier next time.
paintman
I too favour the big hammer & hit it back & forth method. (I use a big lump hammer )

Roverdrive
I just knew that question was coming as soon as I suggested it. I think the answer depends on the size of the ale gut. Skinny people need not apply.
paintman
Axle stands? Piles of bricks? Passing small children?
Bowie69
Just take a piece of wood slightly longer than the width between the chassis rails and hit it into place..... no need for wedges etc.
DEANO3528
Passing small children? My brother in law passed a kidney stone once, and he said that was painful enough!
