MarkieB
gallery page I think the bit I'd need is a kind of plate that holds the air filter onto its assembly, plus makes sure the air enters the filter at the filtering side rather than the non-filtering hole. does anybody happen to know the part number? I think I gather no-one has yet put a parts catalogue for 1972 into an electronic version, so the way it's looking, I may even have to consider a dead tree version. I gather there's an electronic catalogue for 1985 though, is it the standard EPC, or do I have to look for a specific .pdf file? MarkieB
dang! adding up the cost of fuel just to reach the nearest breaker's, goodness knows how far to the nearest old Rangie, I think I'd be better off upgrading to a more modern air intake! Guest diesel_jim
I've just looked on my microcat and it shows this: but no reference to the separate bit itself unfortunately.
FridgeFreezer
Markie - renault espace air filters are pretty big and not a million miles off the shape of the LR one.
MarkieB
cheers guys. well, never mind, a task that'll need a bit of time to achieve. simplest may be to order the seals, then head to a metalworks, get them to make a plate that fits the seal + has got an indent to reach the threaded bit.
