V8david
Hi everyone, anyone know what the 8 speaker wires do coming out of the back of my '89 classic radio cassette? Sorted the 5 separate power etc. ones. I've got: black w/brown stripe black w/orange stripe black w/yellow stripe black w/green stripe black w/pink stripe black w/white stripe black w/blue stripe black w/red strip If i don't know does it really matter if i mix a + and - and how will i know if i have? Sorry, new to all this! Cheers
paintman
Left front speaker b/red & b/pink Right front speaker b/white & b/brown Left rear speaker b/yellow & b/orange Right rear speaker b/blue & b/green Don't know which goes to which side of the speaker but on mine (1986) the rear speakers have different sized terminals - I've just had a look! IIRC the feed wire can be identified with a multimeter.

Bowie69
If you get the speakers the wrong way round, you end up with no bass.....

V8david
All wired and working! I found that the darker colour of the two is the + when i wired them. i.e. with the red and pink, the red is +. Brown is + and orange is +. only one i'm not sure of is the blue/green. Didn't wire the rear speakers.
