discotaz
im thinking of cutting my losses due to the extent of work required on the rear boot and all the suspension and bushes need replacing. So rather than that how much would the following be worth on a 145k 1994 disco 300tdi manual Engine - recent top rebuild 10k ago, HG, plugs, injectors, head skimmed, new belts, tensioners and water pump Radiator - 10k miles manual gear box transfer box front and rear props front axle rear axle seats, dash interior etc body panels - doors, boot, bonnet, glass, wings shell? chassis? ive also got the replacement boot panel and side bits and cross members if i can make back about 1500 from the parts i would probably break it. disco_al
how much for the boot bits if you do break? (mine needs them) but why break? is it short of test? if not then just do a bit at a time, that's my plan. new suspension not long gone on, new tyres will be soon, then it's onto the welding once the weather brightens up. can the diff casings be plated, or source some 2nd hand ones? sotal
It depends partly on how long you are willing to wait to sell the bits - how are you going to sell them? Ebay? If so don't forget the ebay/paypal costs. These are just my guesses: Engine £500 Rad £30 Gearbox + Transfer Box £100 Props £40 Axles £250 Seats - depends if leather or not presume not so £100 Body Panels??? £150 (no idea) Shell+chassis probably be hard to shift A few other things though is it 3 door or 5 door - sunroofs? What model etc. I've seen 95 Discos fetching £1600 for good runners so you'd do very well to get £1500
discotaz
aye, some good points there, its a 5 door, mot is gonna be due at end of april, no a/c or sunroofs, grey velour trim. I reckon its gonna cost me about 1500 to get it to a decent state again, so just weighing up the options at the minute. I dont really want to break it as ive done quite a bit of work on the rear arches and body x-member already and did the engine rebuild last year. think its just the crappy weather putting a damper on my rebuild schedule

I'm driving the series at the moment as it's always too miserable to work on the disco
BiggerBaloo
If you do break it, will you give me a shout for the rad. I'll match the £30 mentioned earlier, and I'll collect or cover P&P. Thanks Baloo
lrfarmer
hi if you do brake it the engine will make more money selling it with all it's axliarys rad-intercooler,fuel filter starter and alt ect ect. I broke my old disco 2 years ago i didn't use ebay, i made £750 but didn't sell the chassis but i was happy as i only payed £500 for it. landyash
Ok, you would sell lots of items very easy if you decide break it Engine but must be complete with rad turbo inter cooler etc, would sell for any thing between £600 to £1000. manual gear box £100. transfer box £100 front and rear props £15 each. front axle £100. rear axle £100. Then sell the rest has job lot for around £200 to £400. seats, dash interior etc body panels - doors, boot, bonnet, glass, wings shell? chassis? Good Look
