You haven't seen all the carp highly valuable vapour fabrication equipment in Al's workshop have you? He's going to need a crane on the mog just to move his assorted welders and unimog parts out of the way to get the mog out of the workshop! He's only doing it for the excuse - if all the floorspace is taken up by tools and vehicles there's no room for him to attempt to solidify his vapour into an actual vehicle. ...Unless he builds it on the back of the Unimog, hmmm, could have something here!
