TheBeastie
On Friday in horrible weather my n/s front indicator gave up the ghost. I didn't get round to checking it to see if bulb had gone till yesterday but when I tested it went fine. Note it was a much better day and things had generally dried out. My hunch is to run a new earth wire to each of the new sidelights and indicators and go back to a "known solid earthing point" - such as the one I looped off the new headlight earths which go straight back to the battery. Is my thinking correct? Thanks
Happyoldgit
Could be bad contacts at the bulb, running a new earth won't solve that. Best bet is to work systematically from the bulb backwards checking contacts & connections as you go.
TheBeastie
Yep. See exactly where you are coming from. They were new bulb units about four months ago so I hope they are OK but I will double check. Difficulty is I cannot check easily until it goes again LOL
