many such things are loss leaders to get you into the shop so you buy other stuff whilst you're there.

That didn't work when I got my saw - everybody made a bee-line for the power tools and then straight to the checkout!

popped into my local Aldi today as I had 1/2 hour to kill. Picked up a folding car creeper for £5.99. Feels meaty enough in the box, got 6 wheels and should be ideal for greasing props etc.

Aldi's competitior Lidl have an angle grinder, bench grinder, workshop vice and magnetic dishes next week.

I had an Aldi angle grinder up until monday this week... i'd given it plenty of grief, but i was trying to cut a 110 rear tub in half... (a scrap one!) to make it easier to get into the trailer.

I don't think the grinder liked the ali filings in it.... it started smoking them went "whoosh" and flames came out of the end! LOL!!

still got it, but can't find the damn receipt (or box)... ah well, was only £13 i think. definately worth it.
