That's the old type 'R' clip, Dixon-Bate replaced it with this one like a 'Nappy Pin' because the 'R' clip doesn't have a positive locking action. Guest diesel_jim Posted February 1, 2008 Share Posted February 1, 2008 And direct from Dixon bate it's "FV2239942 Lanyard,clip etc" priced £7.40 (this is a 2004 price, so probably about £400 by now ) useful Useless nugget if info: when i was in REME, doing the PRE tests on vehicles (like an MoT) a landrover GS, general service, non FFR (so basically, a vehicle for towing and moving stuff in the back) could be deemed VoR (vehicle off road) and not allowed to be used, if this pin was missing, as it was deemed "not safe/fit for purpose" (just in case you were towing a trailer and somehow the top locking thing pinged open) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
