Head Rests

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How high do the headrests go up on a 1991 Defender 90 200Tdi Hardtop County <<<< If any of that makes any difference whatsoever??

I can only get them about 2 inches (4cm) high, they seem stuck solid! Any special way of doing it?

Oh and there the original seats!

Thanks

on the stem, you should feel 2 spring like ramps, squeeze these into the stem & slide the headrest in/out, it should lock into position, caution as these can hurt if they suddenly come out while your pulling them from above. not sure of the full range of adjustment.

mine are showing about 40mm of stem above the seat back, puts the top of the headrest just below the top of my ears & inline with my eyes.

hth :D

the clips are difficult to get at, just been out to my 110 & I can't feel the clips either, but I know they are there.

I can't find a clear enough diagram to show where on the stem the clips are fitted, but it's about 1/2 to 1 inch from the bottom of the stem. there's definitly something stopping them being pulled out.
