sav
Hi all just got myself a 1988 3.5 manual range rover on gas. needs a bit of work including welding, springs and shocks. its been stood for 2 half years so has sunk a bit, nice damp smell too. Body work is nice and straight but found some filler in the rear x-member which is worrying hopefully be on the road soon and lots of rust protection to follow. i will post some pictures up soon when i remember to take my camera home from work. FridgeFreezer
Welcome! Sounds like you've got some tinkering to do. Corrode_Finger's rear crossmember had filler in it, someone had bashed the back and just filled it to make it look straight. Doesn't really affect it though as the chassis is pretty strong (assuming it's not also full of rust of course )

disco_al
it's you over there!!! chassis is pretty solid on it (i towed it back for him), just that the tin worm has invaded the thinner panels, but mostly its surface rust under there.
