Steve 90
What was the format last year? Interested in coming, Just wondering how it runs?
Milemarker Type S
What was the format last year? Interested in coming, Just wondering how it runs? IIRC the site was divided into 5 sections of 10 punches. Each vehicle had their first section allocated to them- to prevent pile ups! Once you had done as many punches as you could/ wanted to in that section you then had to complete a full lap of the site along a set route (couple of punches along the way to prove you had done it) and then on to the next section of your choice and so on.... You had to complete the lap before going to your next section to make your punch scores from the completed section count. The score from your final section counted without you completing the lap. There was also a special stage which you could complete when ever it was free and you were there to do it! Unfortunately it was a very very wet day last year- the approach road to the farm was under 12 inches of water! I am sure your boggers would have enjoyed it... My BFG MT struggled somewhat- still had a damn good day out though! Well worth the trip- Martin and Derek Hounsell will be setting up and I am sure it will be challenging to say the least! Guest weeble
Sounds interesting. If the cylinder head ever turns up for the trayback i would like to enter. Whats the latest you can enter?.
Milemarker Type S
Sounds interesting. If the cylinder head ever turns up for the trayback i would like to enter. Whats the latest you can enter?. On the day! But it will cost you more...The sooner you enter the cheaper it is! Take a look at the website CSW There is info on the events page and on the CSW forum as well as to when the prices change- it is basically to ensure that people book early so that we know numbers etc and skill levels in advance to set up the ideal challenge. It is also cheaper if you become a member- £25 for the year that will get you a t shirt some stickers and a reduced price for all events. Even if your truck is not finished then come for a day out and see how we do things- we are always looking for marshals as well!! 4x4bigstu
Bad News! Due to reasons beyond our control we have lost the use of the previously advertised venue, Higher Bruckland Farm. Good News!! We have managed (at very late notice) to relocate to a site at Furley, near Chard/Aminster OS Map ref: 193-269044 or SY 269044. For those of you with Sat. Nav. that only reads in longitude & Latitude figures are: N 50.83427, W 003.03983. post code for farm EX13 7TR There are many ways to the site, but it will be sign posted from 193-280095 / ST280095/ N 50.88076, W 003.02491. Martin & Derek have been to the site today & have set out a great days play for you all!! Scrutineering will start at 9.00am, driver’s briefing at 9.45 & start at 10.00, please arrive in plenty of time, so that we can start on time!! Entry forms are available on the web-site, but please be aware that they may have details of the old site at the top, this is not an issue for entries, just don’t navigate to the old site!! Pre-entries received & paid in full before midnight on the 7th March will be at the discounted rate of £40. Entries thereafter will be at the full price of £45. Please post any questions here or if more urgent or personal email martin: martin@challengesouthwest.co.uk
