I think combinations of meaningless letters & numbers sound good:

"The New VXB 7000 Nasal Hair Remover as used by Rocket Scientists!"

You could use your initials and the amount of pull or pick a selection of other numbers like drum length, number of bolts in the casing etc. This way, the Mk2 version name will reflect the changes too.

Although - I think it really needs an 'X' in the title somewhere - makes it sound technical!

Si we use the VXBi 8000 nowadays. Keep up man.

rtb - wrong colour. :(

Why do names of products always veer towards danger / animals etc? Odd, innit?

What are you trying to convey - is the fact that its not a re-fried sewing machine important enough to put in the title? How about Hydrodynamic / Hydrodyn something kind of techy like that?

Al.

I reckon it looks like an Arnold. Not much help though I suspect.

on a slightly more serious note why not make up a brand name and then just go for initials and a big number like most winches seem to be, eg:

the OX sch12501i

ps, I still like Arnold the Winch

I've always liked the pointlessly complex and slightly bizarre names the Japanese give to things, how about:

Super Pully Magic Lovely Moist Kitten Deluxe 3000 Longtime

And I think I may have found an advertising slogan for electric winches:

denki-stove.jpg

Jim - you can have that one for free ;)

megatug/megapull/hydrotug/hydropull

safe-t-winch

and all that brand marketing consultancy will cost you - 10% of all sales !!!!!!! (or shall we just call it a free winch)

(I was thinking of tuff-tug or safe-t-tug but felt they had some sort of s**ual connotation !!)
