Can anyone tell me what axles I can fit to a 110 Td5 chassis?

Do they have to be from a 110 Td5 or will older 110 axles be ok, or can I use axles from a discovery or range rover?

Has anyone tried to fit axles from a discovery 2 or the P38 range rover?

Any advice much appreciated

Many thanks

Tim

I've got a Disco 1 axle on my 1985 90 and there are no problems. I'm going to be putting a disco 2 axle on the front soon. As far as I know most axles will go on most chassis. The only thing is the electrics for breaks and traction controld and stuff like that. Cos mine is a 1985 90 I just remove any electrics. I dont know how compatible the electrics are on different models that actually use them.

DII axles often get used on racers, sometimes with defender radius arms and sometimes with DII radius arms. Both require a bit of fabbing.

P38 axle have the diff on the wrong side.

Just the front? What are you doing about the difference in track width?

Are you fabbing the axle to take standard 90 radius arms of fabbing the chassis to take DII arms?

It is a disco rear axle and it fitted straight on with no problems. I got it becuase I wanted rear Disc brakes. I want to to change the front axle now (actually come to think about it probably with a 110 axle) becuase I want vented brakes on the front to stop the rear brakes braking harder than the fronts as they do just now.
