TomG
What sort of rubber hose would be best for a rear radiator installation with the hose running through the transmission tunnel? It needs to cope with temps over 100C (safety factor). Many hoses seem to be rated to 90C max. Resistant to antifreeze Hardwearing / resist chafing Available in over 3 metre lengths Relatively flexible / joinable with jubilee clips Reasonably priced So far I've considered: Silicone - nice but megabucks given the run Copper/stainless pipe - tricky to get the bends right, rattling against tunnel & gearbox, chance of getting flattened (restricting flow) Automotive radiator hose - I can only find it in 1 metre lengths. Marine fuel hose - seems the best option but not sure about long term use with antifreeze.
bishbosh
Why not use the 1m lengths of radiator hose with short lengths of steel pipe to joint them You could then use the pipe locations to attach the run to the transmisison tunnel without squashing the tube? TomG
The only thing which concerns me with more joints is there might be a greater chance of a leak if a jubilee clip failed. If I didn't spot it in time might cook the engine.

kkk2
Ever thought of marine exhaust hose? Why not run copper/steel along inside of chassis rail and connect with conventional hose as both ends?

SHAVED_GORILLA
I think David (Llama 4x4) has another website that he sells motorsport hoses from. Maybe worth giving him a shout. I have lost the link and if David reads this, pop a link on the Llama site mate!!! Andy
simonr
Another cheap option is John Guest speed-fit plumbing pipe. It's available in big enough diameters and satisfies all of the above. Si
