Bosch Silver battery, but what physical size?

Recommended Posts

My Defender battery is not holding charge, so it's time for a new one.

Just called my local factor (also a mate of mine :P ) and he said to go to Costco and buy a 'Bosch Silver' battery.

Would any of you know what is the biggest battery that will sit in the seat-box without having to do any mofifying?

The batteries are listed by number, ie. 077. Does this apply to the overall dimensions and pole location?

Any recommendations will be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Timpo.

I've got a sodding huge Vartra Silver battery in mine, it's significantly higher spec than an optima and was cheaper. I just measured height, width, depth and walked into the local battery place and told them to give me the most electricities they could in the space ;)

I've recently fitted a tractor battery which was 13.5" x 6 3/4" and about 8" tall and has 105ah and 710cca.

It was cheaper then the equivalent one down at costco, cost me £75 inc vat from an agricultural place.

it's apparently the largest one you can get in the seat box. Someone has mentioned they've managed to squeeze 2 in side by side
