The best advice is don’t. In fact, on those roads, just use the LR steel HD (wolf) rims and 235/85 ATs or MTs with a reputation for being resistant to stone abrasions. You don’t want anything that is going to increase the stresses on the mechanical parts - stub axles, wheel bearings and steering components all get increased stress from changing offsets or fitting bigger wheels or tyres, and corrugations hammer those parts enough as it is! FridgeFreezer
^ 2nd the vote for genuine wolf steel wheels, they're stronger, take more damage and can be repaired.
Snagger
Yes, I should have been more specific about not getting the toffee Britpart wheels...

Genuine wolfs are as much as a whole fiver more per wheel, why anyone would buy fakes is beyond me.

Snagger
I don’t know if Vass are still going, but they had piles of thousands of used and unused ex-MoD wheels and tyres and were pretty cheap.
western
Yes L W Vass are still in business, but just looked at their website, they look to have moved from ex military parts & vehicles to fire service equipment & vehicle servicing.
