SteveG
I need a new centre pipe (stainless steel straight through), as I've snapped the rear holder rod on current one. Who can recommend a supplier/suppliers. They seem to be made in various grades of SS and some spout why theirs are better and cost more . So also please can you tell me what grades are ok for exhausts. Thanks Steve
smo
Just about any grade of SS is used for exhausts, commonly 304 and 316, one will "surface rust" and is commonly used and cheaper, and the other as used on motorbikes stays nice and shiney, but is harder to work, costs more etc etc. I know paddocks sell them, not sure what the quality is like, or what grade is used. BogMonster
316 is marine grade stainless and will not rust even on exposure to salt water. The tilt rams etc on outboards are made of this and it is designed to be immersed in salt water all the time so it should be OK for an exhaust
malpasman
Hi Try Jetex, they make custom exhausts and sell exhaust components. Exhaust components or Jetex Exhaust Catalogue Jetex_catalogue.pdf
