landseb27
Hello everyone, regrettable for writing, but it is a translation by google, because I am french. I am looking for information to mount a turbo vnt garett vnt 20 on my disco 300 tdi box automatically. I have read several theme on this issue but there is one point on which I wonder. I know it is necessary to modify the connection to the exhaust, it is necessary to modify the circuit of oil, durite air intake and put a bigger intersection. But how to handle the pressure of vnt? I discovered that a certain person put wasgate turbo standard in place of the capsule depression, but after contacting some member of your forum here is the answer that I gave: "use the standard but VGT capsule make a fitting on the under side of it and feed in with boost, "but I do not understand, somebody could Does it make me undessin the modification to be done. Still a big thank you

Still a big thank you Un VNT travaille au vide normalement. Vous pouvez le démonter au travail sur la pression. Regardez ici car il y a une section française, et recherchez Tintin. Il peut l'expliquer très bien à vous.
jimfoo
For those others wondering, the actuator works on vacuum. You can replace it with one that works off boost, or take it apart and rearrange the innards to make it work off boost so you don't have to mount it upside down like you would with a normal boost actuator. But the best way is to use a cable and some springs and the actuator, so the vanes are controlled by the throttle and not just boost. jimfoo
Carefully cut it at the seam, put the spring underneath. I used exhaust flanges to clamp it together. Some have used small screws or bolts. My control minus one spring on the cable. No boost, full throttle. With boost

jimfoo
No I didn't drill it. I hooked the hose to the intake manifold. But you could drill it if you want.
landseb27
Good morning, everyone, I think I have understood, please let me confirm: In this photo (photo 1) air arrives on admission ( marker A ), which will commission the stem command turbo (marker B). On the next (photo 2) when it accelerates, the metal (soft C) just press the command turbo (marker B), the stem of the membrane (marker A) does not move, and the fins are open. On the last (photo 3) when the desired pressure is achieved, the stem of the membrane (marker C) supports on the metal part (A marker), leaving the command back fins (marker B) is cut the build up of fins. That is what I understand
