landskerlad
Hello I'm new to Freelanders so I'd appreciate some advice. Sorely tempted on buying 2 year old Freelander 3dr H/B TD4 only 16800 miles from second hand car dealer - great price! Thought we were laughing, one year left on Manufacturers Warranty, low mileage etc. Turns out there is no service history book with vehicle. In fairness, dealer tried very hard (in front of us) no find out more about history. He phoned previous owners Lex Leasing, LandRover UK and the Inverness LandRover dealers who apparently had leased the vehicle from Lex (They were incredibly unhelpful! - said they kept levels topped up and checked, did PDI and replaced cooler fan as part of warranty) They refused to give or supply any further information! Drew a short straw everywhere. Secondhand dealer has tried to resaaure me by offering me his 12 month warranty and a service on the vehicle. Big dilemna or am I over agonising - Low mileage, excellent cond, attractive price against Ex Lease car, lack of traceable history. Any advice? Blippie
Is the dealer's warranty any advatange over the LR warantee? Not all lease cars are hammered ... Like any Land Rover, condition is everything. Cheers Blippie
