landrover598
Has anyone get any experince of the TDS 9.5 winch ? And is it any better than the Superwinch EP9 ?
Young bobtail Rhys
all that I know is that it is slower than the superwinch and comeup.
honitonhobbit
No it's not. Dave, Fantastic bit of kit. One of Come Up's senior chaps decided to take the best winch on the market, improve it and then get it made by once of the best engineering factories in China. If you likes your EP you will love this baby.
landrover598
all that I know is that it is slower than the superwinch and comeup. At 56ft/min no load it's not far off 8274 speed Can't find any loaded figures though. Thanks Dave, it looks like a good bit of kit, well spec'd and a good price. Milemarker Type S
Give David BOWYER at GOODWINCH a call and he will tell you all about it... Just make sure you have a spare week cos he does like winches!!! I spoke to him when I collected a Bowrope recently and had a look at one- looks like a well built solid bit of kit. Young bobtail Rhys
Think I may of researched the wrong winch there then Sorry about that How much is it though? The equivelant comeup is £
Bowie69
£339+ VAT Add another £100+ VAT and you get 100ft of Dyneema and an ali hawse.... It is an option for when I can afford to blow that amount on something that will rarely get used!
JST
From what i have heard and seen of them they look excellent value for money, and well made although i havent used one (yet!)
simonr
The spec seems to be pretty similar to an EP series winch - with one big exception - it's got seals! I don't know if it could be called waterproof - but at least they have had a go at stopping muddy water getting inside with seals on either end of the drum etc. That is/was the biggest failing on an EP so given a choice, I'd buy the new one!
