just some more questions, will the 200tdi temp gauge work with the td5? i presume not but you never know

That's odd Ralph, I had to put 55ohms of resistance into the wire from the green 300 sender (which is used in ROW build) to the TD5 temp gauge to get it to work properly, did you manage to wire yours up directly with no problem ? What did you do and what parts did you use ?

Still haven't fitted mine yet, got a bigger problem to sort out now [transfer box in Defender forum]

I forgot you'd used some resistors on yours, maybe it's not as easy as I thought.

thanks for the answers, managed to get hold of a td5 gauge, will use that. think that showing correct water temp is somewhat important, so thought that would be the best solution.
