ebdesignDEFENDER
I bought my landy in VERY disasstrous condition-now like an VERY big fan of this car I want to change everthing in the suspension because nothing was changed from 1997(I think). Can you help me with parts number for the most imprtant parts. I have found a firma in Germany wich sells parts from BEARMACH--but I dont know if it is a good quality by them. First of all I whant to change bushs and i found in BEARMACH a buch kit--can you tell me If this kit is complet for rear and front suspension? And if this kit is better then original? (photo is here) Thanks from eugen
mmgemini
Personally I would stay with the original Land Rover rubber bushes. Bearmach do sell them as well. Somewhere on here is a long post on suspension bushes. Welcome to the forum eugen mike

Hybrid_From_Hell
^^^^^^^^ as they said, I fitted loads of (expensive) rubbish where the manufactuers have claimed just about everything for them, but they fal apart double quick, best is to fit genuine Nige
JST
Bush wise either go for original or SuperPro Suspension - what do you want to do to the truck and what do you use it for ie 2" lift for carrying heavy loads or std height normal on road use no towing/offroading etc

JST
I whant to make this car for all day use(not for chalenges)JUST a standart rebuild. In that case i would go for std replacement springs, they are normally surprisingly good value for money as well.
