willfromsussex
saw a photo today of a RR classic which had plastic wheel arch liners , on the front at least. My 2 door doesn't have these, were they used on any years of UK Range Rovers? Maybe late (post 1985) ones? And can I fit them to my early 2 door? Bowie69
You migth be able to, but I wouldn't....... They are one of the biggest rust-traps on the later vehicles Both my 1991 Rangies had them, both had rotted out inner wings to some extent, centered on the plastic buttons that hold them in... Seconded - they don't appear to do anything useful, just trap wet mud behind them and accelerate corrosion problems
willfromsussex
oh! ok thanks early Datsuns (my area of expertise) never had these and the inner wing trumpets rotted to pieces, later ones had them, and they never rust there now , so I assumed the same would apply to rangies. Waxoyl it is then.
