Although, on some it is interesting to see what gear ratio it is fitted with as some with the 315:1 or simular are very slow, however, it staes that it is fitted with the 233:1 ratio which is very simular to the x9 (slightly faster infact) so the line retrieval speed will be acceptable for most applications. I have a little one in my van and an even smaller one on my quad and have been nothing but impressed with them. Both are better made than the previous Superwinch 2000lb winch I had which sounded like the gearbox had been lubricated with sand! Since most of the new low line winches sold at the moment are made in China, there's no reason these should be any worse than more expensive options.
