peterdug
I'm just starting to build a 90 300 tdi on a richards galvanised chassis. As this is a vehicle i intend to keep for a long time i want to use stainless steel nuts and bolts, does anybody know a supplier in the midlands area and also what sizes i will need and how many of each so i can start getting some prices, i have seen a few kits on e-bay but i'm thinking i must be able to get them cheaper from other sources, thanks for any help. mmgemini
I wouldn't use SS bolts for any fixing that is taking any kind of weight/strain at all. Use proper high tensile bolts. Copper grease the shanks and thread lock the threads. mike

white90
the bolts won't rust away like the chassis did. standard H/T bolts will be fine
