Young bobtail Rhys
I have got myself some qt radius arms to fit and need to know what poly bushes to buy? I have briefly looked them up on the internet and it says that yellow ones are a hard kit which is better for off road However, I thought that the orange ones would be better as they are softer, so therefore will give slightly more flex for off road use? Any Idea's???? Also, when I buy, where should I buy from, i.e best price, customer service etc? TIA
clbarclay
what make(s) are you talking about, the colour is just pigment and can be added to any compond of polyurethane a manufaqcturer cares to make. The cheapest polyurethane bushes to my knowledge are still deflex and quite frankly for what you get they are horendously over priced. they didn't stay on my RRC very long before I forked out the money for a new set of bushes. Hard bushes are great for reduceing articulation, making the ride harsh etc. Again the deflex were a learning curve for me, I'm now back to the standard rubber bushes and on the axle end of the radius arms use the bushes for a RRC fitted with anti roll bars as they are the softest bushes I have come across. My experiance of speed events like comp safaris is limited so I don't know what they prefer in a bush though like the rest of us I get the feeling each racer has his own preferances. If you after Polyurathene bushes, they have there advantages (you don't need a press to fit metalastic bushes) and from experiance I would recomend genuine Poly Bush. Have their blue/comfort bushes on another RRC and have had no concerns about them after several years since fitting.
